This nail art has been lying around in my laptop for a long time and with Valentine’s day closing in I thought this to be the perfect time to post it.
I was in a mood to wear pink (don’t remember if it was Wednesday 😀 *bad joke*) and made this accent nail art. I have used THIS easy peasy method to draw the hearts.
Dark Pink: Deborah 7 Days Long Nail Enamel in shade ‘826’.
Light pink: Maybelline Superstay nailpolish in shade ‘Pink in the Park’ . Check my other fav color from this range HERE.
Glitter dots: Maybelline Gold Digger nailpolish in shade ‘Gilded Rose’ . Check review and full swatch HERE.

So this is one nail art when you have absolutely no time on your hands and want to run the minute after doing your nails. Just grab two contrasting shades of nail polish and one confetti polish and you are good to go. I chose orange and yellow because I LOVE bright nail polish. You can use any colors.
Orange: Colorbar Pro – Orange Blast
Yellow: Flormar Supershine – 41
Confetti: Colorbar Black Fiesta – Masquerade (Reviewed HERE)

I am back with another Valentine nail art. You can check part 1 and 2 HERE and HERE
Since valentine’s is all about love and love involves hearts, I painted big hearts on all my nails.
Plus my nails were short so I couldn’t draw anything else 😀
I wanted to keep the base dark so I chose red color (color of love). You can choose any color of your choice.
All you need to do for this nail art is:
1. Paint your base color
2. Make a rough heart like shape. I draw my hearts directly using the nail polish brush. For reference, you can see a tutorial on easy way to draw hearts.
3. Using a black nail art pen or a thin brush, draw the outlines of hearts using black polish
And Tadaaa…. You have cute hearts sitting on your nails 🙂
The Red nailpolish I used is Colorbar Pro nail lacquer in shade ‘Rosie’
White one is NYC In a minute quick dry nail polish in shade ‘Blanco 032’
I recommend using a fast drying polish for outline. Otherwise if it smudges, the whole look will get ruined.
Can’t believe its November already. This year went by so fast (well this is a recurring dialogue every year, I know :D). But seriously, it feels like- where did the time fly? For me the starting of winters always have mixed feelings- the happiness for the onset of my favorite season, and the sadness for another year going so fast. Don’t you ever feel we are growing so fast. Wish there was a slow down button in life as well. *Sigh*
Anyhoo, since November is here and it is also the month for raising awareness of men’s health issues (or Movember
, as it is called), I did a nail art for same. Movember (Moustache + November) is the time when men from all over the world grow facial hair in attempt to raise charity for men’s health awareness- particularly prostate and testicular cancer. Read more about it HERE
Actually I did not intend to make this a Movember nail art. I only painted my nails with yellow nail polish. And I couldn’t resist drawing little smileys on it. I accented it a little with moustache on ring finger. That is how I came up with this Movember nail art.
Pssst, I have done another Smiley nail art HERE.
Pretty smileys 🙂

Movember nail art
I am not among the girls who paint their left hand (non dominant hand) prettily and keep the poor right hand nails tattered and ignored (Yes girls in metro- flashing their pretty and well groomed left hand nails happily- I’m talking to you!). I never keep my right hand nails bare. I ALWAYS paint both hands, no matter it ends up looking wee bit untidy. And this is how it looked with this nail art.
I know the moustache looks weird okay, but still I managed to make it look like a moustache 😛
Don’t you think it looks like the moustache of old rural people who keep their moustache long and groomed.
Smileys made using a nail art pen.
Today I bring to you a very simple and classic nail art- ze Polka Dots…
How to do it– Its super simple. Paint your nails with color of your choice and dot with a contrasting color using a dotting tool or the back of a toothpick. 😀
I used neither and dotted free hand using the nail polish brush itself.
This color combination gives it a retro look..don’t you think?
You can paint all nails with one color or alternate with two like I have done.
Polka dots look good on both long as well as short nails, but I think it looks cuter on short nails.. don’t you think so? 😀
Hope you find it useful.
It has been a long time when I last had long nails. Damn you Splittting and breakage! But then I cannot wait for it to grow to updo my nails now can I? So I decided to paint my short nails. I was thinking what would look good on such short nails. Marbling?- Nah, French tips?-need longer nails for that, Polka dots- well maybe but I wanted to do something different. And that’s when I saw my smiley earrings. I had been thinking about doing a mani on smiley nails for a long time. And this was the perfect time. So I finally had smiles on my nails 🙂
Smiling nails 🙂
Smile on ring finger got a little distorted. 😦
Smileys look good on shorter nails, don’t you think?
Smileys like these speak oodles of positiveness and optimism to me. Like sunshine. Don’t you think? Ooh sunshine- interesting theme to work on for next mani. 🙂
And here are my smiling earrings which inspired me.
Hope you find it useful.
