Glitter nailpolishes scream party and with all the festivity in the air, they are perfect to adorn at this time of the year. Party Girl collection from Maybelline colorshow has been around for sometime and I have already reviewed 3 of the shades: Tequila Sunrise, Fireworks and Party Lights. In this post I am reviewing another gorgeous shade: Rock the Night 117

Pssst! My love for Glitter nailpolish can be seen HERE 😀

Price: Rs 175 for 6 ml

Maybelline Colorshow Party Girl nailpolish Rock the Night 117 Review

Rock the Night 117 is a beautiful dark blue nail polish with dark blue  hexagonals and golden shimer suspended in a sheer blue baseThe nailpolish has golden shimmer which gives this naipolish a beautiful golden-peacock bluish sheen. Maybelline Party girl range of nail polish is loaded with the glitters which remain suspended and does not settle down at the bottom of the bottle. The glitter does not tug and the nail polish settles into a smooth finish. The dark blue hexagonals against a blue base gives an overall  diffused shimmer to this shade.

The packaging is standard packaging of their Colorshow nailpolish. It comes in cylindrical glass bottle with black cap. The shade name is engraved on top of the cap. The brush is decent and picks enough nailpolish for one coat. It takes 2 coats for full color intensity as one coat is slightly sheer. But if applied properly,  one coat looks beautiful on its own.

Rock the Night 117 being glitter nailpolish, its removal can be quite a pain, especially if you layer this polish a lot. You can remove such glitter polishes easily using the method I use HERE.

The tip wear/chipping starts after 3-4 days, which is quite okay, as I don’t expect these polish to be super long lasting.

Overall, Rock the Night 117 is a beautiful dark blue glitter nailpolish with a golden-peacock blue sheen. This nailpolish is loaded with glitter and 2 coats give full coverage. This is a beautiful color to glamour up the nails. Party Lights range of Maybelline Colorshow is my favorite so far and I will keep on repurchasing the shades.

Chambor Gel Effect Nail Lacquer 102 : Review & Swatch

Chambor revamped their nailpolish collection sometime ago and launched Gel Effect nail lacquer. There are over 50 shades in this range and I picked up a beautiful cherry red color which I am reviewing in this post.

Price: Rs 325 for 10 ml

Chambor Gel Effect Nail Lacquer 102 Review

Chambor Gel Effect Nail Lacquer come in glass packaging with blue cap. The nail polish is housed in a cardboard packaging containing all the necessary details about price and ingredients. The brush is good and picks enough product for one coat. The edges of brush is curved which makes the application easy and mess free, especially around the cuticles.

Chambor Gel Effect nail lacquer in shade 102 is beautiful cherry red color. It’s the kind of color every bride/ bride to be must own. The consistency is creamy and pigmentation is superb. The application is uniform and non-streaky. 1 coat is opaque enough but I have apply two coats in the swatches below. The ‘Gel Effect’ is instantly visible. The finish is super glossy and has plumping effect. It gives an instant makeover to the nails and it dries quick.

This nail polish ace in every department except the wear time. I generally apply nailpolish in night and with this nailpolish I could see tip wear in some nails by next day only! If a brand is selling its product with “Gel ” somewhere in its name, I expect Gel like wear time in addition to the finish. With this nail polish I could see proper tip wear by 3rd day after application. The shine tends to dull after 2-3 days.

Also, Chambor Gel Effect Nail Lacquer are numbered and not named, which makes it confusing sometimes.

Overall, Chambor Gel Effect Nail Lacquer in shade 102 is a gorgeous cherry red color. The finish is super glossy and has plumping effect.  However, the nailpolish tends to chip early and tip wear sets in 1-2 days only. If you don’t mind the short wear time or apply with a top coat, this is a great nailpolish. Plus there are over 50 shades to choose from this range.

Loreal Paris Color Riche Le Smokey Eyeliner: Purple dream ~ Review & Swatch

L’Oreal launched Color Riche Le Smokey range of eyeliner pencils last year in 8 shades and I am reviewing a beautiful purple color- Purple Dream 211 in this post.

L’Oreal has another great eyeliner in gel form. Check it HERE

Price: Rs 650 for 1.2 g

L’Oreal Paris Color Riche Le Smokey eyeliner Purple Dream review

L’Oreal Paris Color Riche Le Smokey eye pencil is a double ended wooden pencil with eyeliner at one end and the smudger at the other end. Both the ends of the pencil are fitted with transparent, plastic caps which can be interchanged. The color of the eyeliner pencil is coordinated with the eyeliner shade making it easier to sort if you have multiple shades from this range. The design and gold detailing gives a classy touch to the packaging, but the gold detailing starts to fade after sometime.

Purple Dream is a blackish purple color which looks amazing on brown eyes. I can’t get enough of purple eyeliners. I feel green and purple look best on brown eyes. (I have reviewed my fav green eyeliner HERE ). L’Oreal Color Riche Le Smokey eye pencils are soft and creamy and glides easily. It does not tug or pull on the eyelids. These are intensely pigmented and one need not swipe multiple times for better color. One swipe gives full coverage. These are matte eyeliners. When I apply this on waterline as kohl, it does not sting or makes my eyes dry.

The smudger has dome shaped sponge tip which is decent and does an excellent job in smudging to create a smokey look.  However, these eyeliners are not smudge proof and do smudge when rubbed. At the end of the day half the pigmentation fades off, whether worn as eyeliner or kohl. The smudging is more if you have hooded eyes or oily eyelids.

This is a long pencil and quantity is sufficient. But it needs to be sharpened which leads to product wastage.

Overall, L’Oreal Paris Color Riche Le Smokey eyeliner pencil Purple Dreams is a beautiful blackish purple eyeliner with a smudger at the other end. It is highly pigmented and easy to apply but it is not smudge proof. Also, this needs to be sharpened which leads to product wastage. This is not smudge proof and it will smudge especially if you have hooded eyes and oily eyelids. I will probably not repurchase this as I like retractable eyeliners with smudge proof finish.

In this post I am reviewing another beautiful shade: Party Lights 118

Party Lights 118 is a beautiful silverish purple color nail polish with purple hexagonals and glitter suspended in a purple baseThe nailpolish has silver shimmer which gives this naipolish a beautiful silverish sheen making it look like foil nailpolish. This nail polish is loaded with the glitters which remain suspended and does not settle down at the bottom of the bottle. The glitter does not tug and the nail polish settles into a smooth finish. The purple glitter and hexagonals doesnot look stark against the base color like in other shades of this range. Instead, it gives a beautiful diffused shimmer to this shade.

The packaging is standard packaging of their Colorshow nailpolish. It comes in cylindrical glass bottle with black cap. The shade name is engraved on top of the cap. The brush is decent and picks enough nailpolish for one coat. It takes 2-3 coats for full color intensity as one coat is slightly sheer.

Maybelline Colorshow Party Girl nailpolish : Tequila Sunrise ~ Swatch & Review

Maybelline launched Party Girl collection last year towards the end and I have been meaning to review them on my blog ever since. This is such a stunning collection and anyone who loves glitter polish will go bonkers. I myself had to control myself from buying too many shades (I only picked 4 :P) I will review the shades I have and here I am reviewing my favorite shade from the collection : Tequila Sunrise 112

Pssst! My love for Glitter nailpolish can be seen HERE 😀

Price: Rs 175

Tequila Sunrise 112 is a beautiful rose gold-pinkish nail polish with rose gold hexagonals and glitter. The nailpolish has golden shimmer which gives this naipolish a beautiful rose gold sheen. This nail polish is loaded with the glitters which remain suspended and does not settle down at the bottom of the bottle. The glitter does not tug and the nail polish settles into a smooth finish.

The packaging is standard packaging of their Colorshow nailpolish. It comes in cylindrical glass bottle with black cap. The shade name is engraved on top of the cap. The brush is decent and picks enough nailpolish for one coat. It takes 2 coats for full color intensity as one coat is slightly sheer, but it is high on golden shimmer so you can wear one coat also.

The shade is more golden and light pink as compared too swatches below which are more pink and less gold.

Tequila Sunrise 112 being glitter nailpolish, its removal can be quite a pain, especially if you layer this polish a lot. You can remove such glitter polishes easily using the method I use HERE

The tip wear/chipping starts after 3-4 days, which is quite ok, as I dont expect these polish to be super long lasting.

Maybelline Colorshow Gold Digger nail polish ~ Gilded Rose 903: Review & Swatch

Maybelline gold digger

Maybelline has an entire range on gold themed nail colors: Gold Digger Collection, and I am reviewing a beautiful peach color nailpolish from this range ~ Gilded Rose 903

I have reviewed the first three shades in the pic above HERE, HERE and HERE

Price: Rs 145

maybelline-gilded-rose

Gilded Rose 903 is a peach colored nail polish with sugar texture.

It comes in classic Colorshow packaging: cylindrical transparent bottle with black cap and name engraved on top. The brush is decent but not great. Gilded Rose is a peach colored nail polish with peach and golden shimmer. This is not as bling shade as some of the OTHERS in this collection, but it is a good shade if you like subtle colors. However, this shade can make hands look dark, so try it at the counters before you purchase.

People confuse this shade of Gold Digger collection with  ‘Pink Champagne’ shade of the previous Glitter Mania collection. There is a difference between the two shades, the latter being more blingy and rose gold in color, and Gilded rose is peachy in color with toned down bling. Also, there is no chunky glitter in Gilded Rose. The texture however, is the same. Personally, I like Pink Champagne shade more.

This is not a top coat, and it takes 2-3 coats to build the color. The tip wear starts after 3-4 days. Being a glitter nailpolish, its removal is quite a pain. You can remove such glitter polishes easily using the method I use HERE

Overall, this is a good color if you like subtle colors with toned down bling. This is a great office appropriate color in my opinion. But it may make hands look dark, so try it on your nails first.
