It has been a while since I posted a nail art, and this one has been sitting in my folder for sooo long. This is an easy peasy floral nail art.
I chose the color pink, but you can pair it with any color of your choice. This is one of my go-to nail art when I dont want to spend much time doing it. All you need to do this nail art is a dotting tool/ bobby pin/ tooth pick and your choice of nail polish. I like to do my dots using a tooth pick as it gives more uniform dots.
Do try this nail art and link back if you like 🙂

Maybelline launched Party Girl collection last year towards the end and I have been meaning to review them on my blog ever since. This is such a stunning collection and anyone who loves glitter polish will go bonkers. I myself had to control myself from buying too many shades (I only picked 4 :P) I will review the shades I have and here I am reviewing my favorite shade from the collection : Tequila Sunrise 112
Pssst! My love for Glitter nailpolish can be seen HERE 😀
Price: Rs 175
Tequila Sunrise 112 is a beautiful rose gold-pinkish nail polish with rose gold hexagonals and glitter. The nailpolish has golden shimmer which gives this naipolish a beautiful rose gold sheen. This nail polish is loaded with the glitters which remain suspended and does not settle down at the bottom of the bottle. The glitter does not tug and the nail polish settles into a smooth finish.
The packaging is standard packaging of their Colorshow nailpolish. It comes in cylindrical glass bottle with black cap. The shade name is engraved on top of the cap. The brush is decent and picks enough nailpolish for one coat. It takes 2 coats for full color intensity as one coat is slightly sheer, but it is high on golden shimmer so you can wear one coat also.
The shade is more golden and light pink as compared too swatches below which are more pink and less gold.
Tequila Sunrise 112 being glitter nailpolish, its removal can be quite a pain, especially if you layer this polish a lot. You can remove such glitter polishes easily using the method I use HERE
The tip wear/chipping starts after 3-4 days, which is quite ok, as I dont expect these polish to be super long lasting.
Overall, this is a beautiful rose gold glitter nailpolish and if you love glitter and if you love the color rose gold, you should definitely check it out.
L’Oreal Paris launched this new range of nail polish last year – Color Riche L’Huile nail polish. Although this range has been available outside India for some time, it was launched in India recently. There is a wide variety of shades to choose from. Here I am reviewing a gorgeous purple shade ~ Violet Vendome 332.
Price: Rs 399
L’Oreal Paris Color Riche L’Huile nail polish Violet Vendome review
The packaging is very attractive and one of its kind. It comes in a super pretty cut-glass cuboidal bottle with shade name sticked on top. The bottle feels luxurious in hand. I got attracted to the packaging only when I spotted it from far and decided to purchase atleast one shade 😛
Violet Vendome 332 is a beautiful violet color with a perfect mix of purple and pink. This is such a vibrant shade which will work in spring as well as Fall in my opinion. (Check out another great purple nailpolish HERE). Even though Violet Vendome is a bright shade, it should still work across skin tones. The finish is highly glossy. The texture is smooth and creamy and the nailpolish is pigmented, although it takes 2-3 coats for full color intensity (3 for me as with 2 coats my nail tips were visible). These nail polish are fast drying, but I recommend applying thin coats. I am highly impressed with the brush. There are ridges on the stem holding the brush which makes it drip resistant. It is U-shape and perfectly wide to cover the nails in a single stroke without going outside the edges. I love nailpolish with a good brush. The USP of this range of nailpolish is that they have an oil-infused formulation which delivers deep, vibrant color and intense shine.
The glossiness of this nailpolish stays for 2-3 days. However, I could start to see tip wear next day onwards, which is a bummer. The chipping started after 4-5 days but you can always prolong the wear time by using a top coat.
Overall, I think these polishes are worth to have a look at. The packaging is really attractive, there is a large spectrum of shades to choose from, the pigmentation is good and the finish is highly glossy. The brush is amazing and makes the nailpolish application a dream, especially around cuticles. The texture, formula and finish is top notch.
Maybelline has an entire range on gold themed nail colors: Gold Digger Collection, and I am reviewing a beautiful peach color nailpolish from this range ~ Gilded Rose 903
I have reviewed the first three shades in the pic above HERE, HERE and HERE
Price: Rs 145
Gilded Rose 903 is a peach colored nail polish with sugar texture.
It comes in classic Colorshow packaging: cylindrical transparent bottle with black cap and name engraved on top. The brush is decent but not great. Gilded Rose is a peach colored nail polish with peach and golden shimmer. This is not as bling shade as some of the OTHERS in this collection, but it is a good shade if you like subtle colors. However, this shade can make hands look dark, so try it at the counters before you purchase.
People confuse this shade of Gold Digger collection with ‘Pink Champagne’ shade of the previous Glitter Mania collection. There is a difference between the two shades, the latter being more blingy and rose gold in color, and Gilded rose is peachy in color with toned down bling. Also, there is no chunky glitter in Gilded Rose. The texture however, is the same. Personally, I like Pink Champagne shade more.
This is not a top coat, and it takes 2-3 coats to build the color. The tip wear starts after 3-4 days. Being a glitter nailpolish, its removal is quite a pain. You can remove such glitter polishes easily using the method I use HERE
Overall, this is a good color if you like subtle colors with toned down bling. This is a great office appropriate color in my opinion. But it may make hands look dark, so try it on your nails first.
This year has gone by so fast, don’t you think? It’s november already! The evenings have started to get chilly and the sun has hidden under the thick smog (Seriously Delhi, where do you want to go with the pollution levels?!) While the winter is about to make its entry in this part of the world, I thought of reviewing my fav nail polish for winter. Spring is about colors and vividness, Fall is all about dark colors. Revlon Colorstay LongWear Nail Enamel in shade Bold Sangria is one perfect Fall color.
Price: Rs 350 for 11.7 ml
Revlon Colorstay Longwear Nail Enamel in shade Bold Sangria is a beautiful eggplant purple nail polish which flatters my medium skin toned hands. I don’t like wearing black nail polish and this is such a beautiful alternative to wear dark, gothic colors. The color is dark eggplant purple but it also appears bit brownish in some lighting.
Revlon Colorstay Nail Enamels come in a sturdy cylindrical bottle with shade name sticked on top. What impressed me most apart from the color is the brush of this nail polish. The double-barrel brush is wide with tapered corners, making nailpolish application a dream. The entire nail gets covered in two strokes. I absolutely hate thin brushes and the brush of this nail polish is amazing. The unique shape of the brush allows hassle free and quick application.
The formula of this nailpolish is creamy, it is neither too runny nor too thick. Color consistency is great and gives full coverage in 2 coats. The finish is super shiny and it looks high end on the nails. I saw minor tip wear starting next day onwards, but this happens with almost ALL the nailpolish I own (As seen in pics below). I would call it pretty long lasting if applied with a top coat.
One thing to note is that this is NOT quick drying and it will take its fair share of time to dry. So better apply it when you are not in a hurry. I applied it at night and even after giving it full time to dry, ended up with crease marks in morning.
Revlon Colorstay Nail Enamel in shade Bold Sangria is a beautiful eggplant purple color. The consistency is creamy and highly glossy. The brush of this nailpolish is unique and makes the application hassle free. Only drawback is this is not quick drying. But the color is so gorgeous that it has become my fav Fall color. If you like dark, gothic nail colors, do give this one a try.
So I do a lot of nail art, some turn out great, which I post it here (I try to post ’em all). But some look so bad that I would rather see the ‘Mountain’ (Sir Gregor Clegane) of Game of Thrones without his helmet (Eeeeeek!).
So instead of throwing such nail art pics in trash, I decided to post some of it on the blog itself, just for fun.
And so, this is the series of my epic fails at nail art 😀
After all, none of us is perfect 😉
This was my first attempt at gradient I think, and I chose such contrasting colors, that it didn’t blend at all 😀
But I think I can still call it as “Fire nail art“. Doesn’t sound bad!
Maybelline has an entire range on gold themed nail colors: Gold Digger Collection, and I am reviewing a stunning top coat from this range ~ Gold Gluttony 905
I have reviewed the first two shades in the pic above HERE and HERE
Price: Rs 145
Gold Gluttony is a transparent nail polish with chunks of gold flakes of different sizes. This is a top coat and looks great on both light as well as dark base colors. This is a no-fuss nail polish which can take your manicure up a notch in no time.
It comes in classic Colorshow packaging: cylindrical transparent bottle with black cap and name engraved on top. The brush is decent but not great. I think the brush could have been wider to pick such chunky gold leaves effectively. Sometimes, I am left with only 1-2 gold specks in one coat and so have to place the gold flakes individually on each nail. Also, using multiple coats to load up on the bling makes it gloopy and slow to dry.
Other than that, it is a great nail polish to bling up the manicure. I always wanted a nailpolish like this- gold chunky leaf glitter, and this one is a great budget option to have.
Being a glitter nailpolish, its removal is quite a pain. You can remove such glitter polishes easily using the method I use HERE
