I am an eyeliner hoarder and other than nailpolish, eyeliner (colored eyeliner) is what catches my fancy at any store. I am a fan of Colorbar’s eyeliner and after Colorbar, Sephora is my next fav brand. I have already reviewed a gorgeous brown-plum eyeliner by Sephora – Love Affair HERE. In this post I am reviewing another gorgeous shade from the same range- Sephora Contour Eye Pencil 12 hr wear Galaxy Girl.

Sephora Contour Eye Pencil 12 hr wear Galaxy Girl Review
Sephora Contour eye pencil come in black sharpenable pencil with black plastic cap. The end of the pencil is color coded which makes it easier to spot if you have multiple shades from this range. The shade name is written towards the end of the pencil, at bottom of other details. Since this is a sharpenable eyeliner and not retractable, it leads to product wastage whenever you sharpen it.
Galaxy Girl shade is medium dark black base color with beautiful bluish green microglitter. The glitter is more intense than Nykaa Glamoreyes eyeliner. The overall color looks dark grayish green. This comes under glitter section of the range and the glitter is very subtle and not OTT. The dark gray base color makes this a gorgeous work-wear shade if you like to experiment. Pigmentation of Sephora Contour Eye Pencil Galaxy girl is amazing and 1 swipe gives full color intensity. The texture is super creamy and glides easily. It does not tug or pull at the eyelids.
The staying power of this eyeliner is impressive. It does not budge once it sets. It stays put on my eyes whole day (~10 hours). Also, this is waterproof eyeliner, so you do not have to worry if you have watery eyes.
Sephora Contour Eye Pencil does not irritate my eyes. This being a glitter eyeliner, I donot recommend to apply this on waterline since this is a glitter eyeliner.
This eye pencil is formulated without parabens, sulfates and phthalates. Also, it is not tested on animals.
I have not seen a dupe for this eyeliner in Indian brands yet but it is faintly similar to Colorbar i glide eyeliner in shade Coalmine (comparison in pic below). Colorbar Coalmine is proper grey color whereas this is greyish-green.
(Nailpolish base color : THIS by Maybelline, Chevron nail art polish- THIS by Avon)

Colorbar relaunched its entire nailpolish collection as ‘1001 shades of Love‘ and I bought a few shades (Haul post HERE). I have previously reviewed a gorgeous burnt orange shade ‘Italian Spice’ HERE. In this post I am reviewing a beautiful speckled nailpolish from the Arteffects range – Pepper Pink.
Price: Rs 199 for 10 ml
Expiry : 3 years
Colorbar Arteffects Nail Lacquer Pepper Pink Review
- Colorbar has not revamped the packaging, it is the same as previous bottle, only with a couple of tweaks. The colorbar logo now has a heart instead of ‘B’, and the cap of the nail polish is brown chrome color with new hearts logo of Colorbar on top. Other than this, the packaging and the brush is same as their last packaging (Read more about packaging and brush HERE)
- Being a speckled polish, pigmentation is semi sheer and gives decent opacity in 2 coat. The semi sheer consistency brings out the hexagonals beautifully.
- The formula is creamy and non streaky.
- It dries quick.
- Pepper Pink is a beautiful soft pastel pink color with matte flecks of small black glitter, medium glitter and large hexagonals of different sizes. The swatches below are 2 coats.
Psssst, check a top coat of chunky black and golden glitter by Maybelline HERE
- Pricewise this is a good buy for the quantity.
- Colorbar claims it is formulated with a 7-free formula: without formaldehydes, formaldehyde resin, DBP, toluene, camphor, paraben, and xylene.
- The removal part is quite a pain, but you can use a peel off base coat (like the one reviewed HERE), or use the foil method of glitter removal (Tutorial HERE). It will save you a lot of time and effort as the small glitter is hard to remove on its own.
Nykaa has a similar speckled nailpolish collection- Cookie Crumble and you may find a dupe for this nailpolish. Pricewise, nailpolish from both the brands are equally priced.
one coat of nailpolish

Nykaa launched Glamoreyes Eyeliner Pencils a while back and recently added more shades to the range. In this post I am reviewing a gorgeous sapphire blue shade- Azure Charm.
Blue and purple eyeliners are my weakness and I have reviewed some other blue eyeliners here : Colorbar Just Smokey (shade Just Blue), Chambor Dazzle eyeliner (shade Teal Dazzle), L’Oreal gel eyeliner (shade sapphire blue).

Nykaa Glamoreyes Eyeliner Pencil Azure Charm Review
Nykaa Glamoreyes eyeliner pencils come in sharpenable pencil form with plastic cap which shuts tight. The outer cardboard packaging has all the manufacturing and ingredient details. The body of the eyeliner pencil is color coordinated to the shade so it is easy to spot if you have multiple shades. The silver detailing on the pencil is attractive which doesnot fade with time (unlike THIS eyeliner pencil).
Nykaa Glamoreyes eyeliner is soft and creamy and glides easily without any tugging or pulling on the eyelids. These are intensely pigmented and 2 swipes gives full color intensity.
These eyeliner pencils are not smudge proof and do smudge when rubbed. The smudging is more if you have hooded eyes or oily eyelids. Since this is in pencil form it needs to be sharpened which leads to product wastage.
Azure Charm is a very unique sapphire blue shade with greenish blue glitter. Being a glitter eyeliner, this is not meant for office wear but looks super pretty when worn otherwise. The shimmer is very fine and not OTT, giving a beautiful dimension to the overall color.
I donot advise applying this eye pencils on lower lash line as the glitter may irritate the eyes.
Pricewise, these eyeliner are not very expensive. But sharpening does lead to product wastage, which is a con.
The nailpolish I’m wearing is THIS one by Kiko
xoxo, Blossom 🙂
I am a big fan of Kiko products, particularly their nailpolish which are amazing. I have many Kiko nailpolish (a part of which are shown HERE). Glitter Metal was a limited edition collection and I couldn’t take my eyes off this beautiful shade when I saw it. Kiko Glitter metal in shade 002 is too pretty not to buy.
A recent limited edition is their gorgeous Holographic nailpolish (reviewed HERE), which is the first true holographic nailpolish to get hold of in India.
Price: Rs 560 for 10 ml
Kiko Glitter Metal Nail Lacquer 002 review
- Kiko Glitter Metal nail lacquer comes in exact same packaging as the Holographic collection (HERE). The bottle is round with removable black cap and separate brush cap.
- Shade number and other details are at the back in form of peel off booklet (which has 6 pages btw!)
- The brush is short and decently wide with rounded edges which helps in easy application especially around cuticles.
- Consistency is slightly runny and pigmentation is good. It goes opaque in 2 coats.
- It dries fast with almost no waiting time in between coats.
- Kiko Glitter Metal nailpolish in shade 002 is a beautiful light pink-mauve color with heavy gold microglitter. It looks soft gold color with hints of pink and mauve. The gold microglitter has slightly blue holo effect and the overall color on nail appears duochrome. The blue holo is more visible in the bottle.
- The glitter is not big and chunky. This is a subtle nailpolish color which is not too in-your-face. It is toned down shade than regular gold/metallic nailpolish colors.
- Wear time is 4-5 days without chipping.
- This is bit expensive but the quantity is big. Also, the shade is one of a kind which you will not find in other Indian brands.
- The shade 002 has a unique elegance and can be carried off with women from all age groups. It will suit all Indian skintones.
Check another duochrome nailpolish which is easier on pocket HERE
see the holo effect?
Overall, Kiko Glitter Metal nail lacquer comes in round glass bottle with two caps. The brush is short but wide enough to pick the right amount of nailpolish. The brush edges is rounded which helps in easy and mess-free application. The consistency is thin and pigmentation is good. It builds to full color in 2-3 coats. Shade 002 is a beautiful pink-mauve color with heavy gold microglitter. The glitter is not in-your-face and has holographic effect, which makes it look duochrome on nails. This is a subtle shade and will suit all Indian skintones, across all age groups. Must buy if you can get hold of it. The only con is that it is bit pricey.

Pssst, if you are looking for rose gold nailpolish, THIS is the shade to have.
Colorbar has changed its nailpolish packaging and launched some new range. Arteffects range of Colorbar nailpolish has some of the old shades (24 ct collection & Heavy metal collection) and some new shades.
I am reviewing a beautiful glitter off-white shade from Colorbar Arteffects range in this post- Snow White 26.
Price: Rs 325 for 12 ml
Colorbar Arteffects Luxe Nail Lacquer Snow White Review
Colorbar has changed its nailpolish packaging and now all the range have same packaging- thick, cube glass bottle with short brush. The nailpolish bottle feels heavy and bulky and honestly I liked the previous bottle more. Stacking of these nailpolish now takes up more space (I had to carry 5-6 while moving from Delhi to Mumbai, so I know how inconvenient this packaging is especially for travel). The brush cap is silver colored with ‘CB’ logo embossed at the top. The shade name and other details are stickered at the bottom. The brush is short and wide and slighly rounded which helps in clean application (I ike rounded brush like THESE).
The pigmentation is slightly sheer and needs 3 coats for full opacity. Being sheer, this may also be used as a top coat. This nailpolish feel smooth to touch and not at all gritty or sand textured like other glitter nailpolish.
Snow White is a beautiful off white color with heavy shimmer. The glitter is very fine so it doesnot stand out against the nailpolish like THIS nailpolish, but gives a beautiful dimension to the overall color. The small glitter are holographic and the holographic effect is slightly visible in pic at the top of this post. Being holographic, the shimmer appears to be multicolor and looks beautiful against the off white color. This shade is a beautiful alternative to silver and white colors.
Price is a bit high but this is a big bottle so it is ok if you do the math, compared to other nailpolish in market (Maybelline’s Colorshow range is Rs 175 for 6 ml). Tip wear is after 2 days and proper chipping starts after 4-5 days.
I have used this nailpolish in Christmas nail art I did recently HERE.
Overall, Colorbar Arteffects Luxe Nailpolish comes in short, glass bottle which feels bulky and heavy compared to Colorbar’s previous packaging. The brush is short and slightly rounded which helps in clean application. The consistency is sheer and needs 3 coats for full coverage. Price wise, this nailpolish is okay for its price as the quantity is big (12 ml). The shade Snow White is a gorgeous off white shade with holographic small glitter which gives it a beautiful dimension. It lasts 4-5 days with tip wear setting after 2 days. I am in love with this shade. This is such a nice alternative to white and silver. I will repurchase this color, though I think this bottle will last fairly a long time.
Attention all glitter nailpolish fans! Our prayers have been answered. We finally have a peel off Glitter nail polish base coat in India. Bless you YLG Salon for introducing one. We can safely wear glitter nailpolish again without worrying about the aftermath that follows while removing it. My remover dipped cotton ball literally used to shred when I removed those stubborn glitter polishes. Even though I used THIS method for removing glitter, it was still cumbersome and time consuming.
So I stumbled upon this peel off base coat on Amazon and I immediately added to cart.

YLG Peel Off Base coat review
YLG Peel off base coat comes in square packaging housed in a white cardboard box. There is a mini leaflet inside containing all the necessary details. The brush is short but ok. The consistency is runny. It smells weirdly of fevicol glue. But it does its job pretty well! I apply two coats and allow each coat to dry completely. Since this is water soluble, make sure your hands are completely dry before you apply. Also, do not wet your hands after you apply this base coat, i.e. before applying glitter nailpolish as the base coat will start to remove. YLG Peel off base coat applies milky white, but turns transparent when dry.
For removal, just grab the glittery nailpolish from the base of nail and start peeling.
Now coming to the cons part, I feel with the peel off base coat on, the glitter nailpolishes don’t stay as long as they do without this base coat. The nailpolish starts to peel on its own in 2-3 days only (especially around tip/base). Also, if you do a bit of cooking at home, I DO NOT recommend this base coat. Once I was kneading the dough and I could see the glitter nailpolish from all my fingers sliding into the dough
But other than that, I think this is a great base coat and makes removal of glitter nailpolish a dream.
Overall, YLG Peel Off base coat for glitter nailpolish is a saviour for all glitter polish lovers. It makes the removal of glitter polish a dream. YLG Peel off base coat is milky white in color with fevicol glue type smell. It applies white but dries transparent. The removal part is incredibly easy. However, I feel the wear time for nailpolish reduces when applied using this base coat. Also, make sure not to do any cooking (especially kneading) with this base coat on as the glitter nailpolish will slide off and knead into the dough. Ugh!
Glitter nailpolishes scream party and with all the festivity in the air, they are perfect to adorn at this time of the year. Party Girl collection from Maybelline colorshow has been around for sometime and I have already reviewed 3 of the shades: Tequila Sunrise, Fireworks and Party Lights. In this post I am reviewing another gorgeous shade: Rock the Night 117
Pssst! My love for Glitter nailpolish can be seen HERE 😀
Price: Rs 175 for 6 ml
Maybelline Colorshow Party Girl nailpolish Rock the Night 117 Review
Rock the Night 117 is a beautiful dark blue nail polish with dark blue hexagonals and golden shimer suspended in a sheer blue base. The nailpolish has golden shimmer which gives this naipolish a beautiful golden-peacock bluish sheen. Maybelline Party girl range of nail polish is loaded with the glitters which remain suspended and does not settle down at the bottom of the bottle. The glitter does not tug and the nail polish settles into a smooth finish. The dark blue hexagonals against a blue base gives an overall diffused shimmer to this shade.
The packaging is standard packaging of their Colorshow nailpolish. It comes in cylindrical glass bottle with black cap. The shade name is engraved on top of the cap. The brush is decent and picks enough nailpolish for one coat. It takes 2 coats for full color intensity as one coat is slightly sheer. But if applied properly, one coat looks beautiful on its own.
Rock the Night 117 being glitter nailpolish, its removal can be quite a pain, especially if you layer this polish a lot. You can remove such glitter polishes easily using the method I use HERE.
The tip wear/chipping starts after 3-4 days, which is quite okay, as I don’t expect these polish to be super long lasting.
Overall, Rock the Night 117 is a beautiful dark blue glitter nailpolish with a golden-peacock blue sheen. This nailpolish is loaded with glitter and 2 coats give full coverage. This is a beautiful color to glamour up the nails. Party Lights range of Maybelline Colorshow is my favorite so far and I will keep on repurchasing the shades.
