Sephora Contour Eye Pencil 12 hr wear: Galaxy Girl 25 ~ Review, Swatch

I am an eyeliner hoarder and other than nailpolish, eyeliner (colored eyeliner) is what catches my fancy at any store. I am a fan of Colorbar’s eyeliner and after Colorbar, Sephora is my next fav brand. I have already reviewed a gorgeous brown-plum eyeliner by Sephora – Love Affair HERE. In this post I am reviewing another gorgeous shade from the same range- Sephora Contour Eye Pencil 12 hr wear Galaxy Girl.

Price: Rs 900 for 1.2g

Expiry: 3 years

Sephora Contour Eye Pencil 12 hr wear Galaxy Girl Review

Sephora Contour eye pencil come in black sharpenable pencil with black plastic cap. The end of the pencil is color coded which makes it easier to spot if you have multiple shades from this range. The shade name is written towards the end of the pencil, at bottom of other details. Since this is a sharpenable eyeliner and not retractable, it leads to product wastage whenever you sharpen it.

Galaxy Girl shade is medium dark black base color with beautiful bluish green microglitter. The glitter is more intense than Nykaa Glamoreyes eyeliner. The overall color looks dark grayish green. This comes under glitter section of the range and the glitter is very subtle and not OTT. The dark gray base color makes this a gorgeous work-wear shade if you like to experiment. Pigmentation of Sephora Contour Eye Pencil Galaxy girl is amazing and 1 swipe gives full color intensity. The texture is super creamy and glides easily. It does not tug or pull at the eyelids.

The staying power of this eyeliner is impressive. It does not budge once it sets. It stays put on my eyes whole day (~10 hours). Also, this is waterproof eyeliner, so you do not have to worry if you have watery eyes.

Sephora Contour Eye Pencil does not irritate my eyes. This being a glitter eyeliner, I donot recommend to apply this on waterline since this is a glitter eyeliner.

This eye pencil is formulated without parabens, sulfates and phthalates. Also, it is not tested on animals.

I have not seen a dupe for this eyeliner in Indian brands yet but it is faintly similar to Colorbar i glide eyeliner in shade Coalmine (comparison in pic below). Colorbar Coalmine is proper grey color whereas this is greyish-green.

(Nailpolish base color : THIS by Maybelline, Chevron nail art polish- THIS by Avon)

Forest Essentials Night Treatment Cream Jasmine & Patchouli Review

Mr. A’s and my skin is poles apart. He has oily, acne prone skin, whereas I have dry skin in general. But come summers and I start to poke around his skincare products. (This night cream is a find from his section of products) 😀

My current normal-combination skincare consists of only cleansing and moisturizing (+ sunscreen).  I have expressed my love for Forest Essentials products many many times now and in summers these are the products I swear by:  Kashmiri Saffron & Neem face cleanser (reviewed HERE),  Lavender & Neroli Day cream (reviewed HERE) and the Jasmine & Patchouli Night treatment cream, which I am reviewing in this post.

I have already reviewed the Forest Essentials Sandalwood & Saffron night cream HERE, which is for dry skin.

Price: Rs 2695 for 50 g

Forest Essentials Night Treatment Cream Jasmine & Patchouli Review

Forest Essentials night treatment cream comes in a plastic jar (which feels heavy and looks like glass) with beautiful golden screw cap. The yellow colored packaging with floral details looks attractive. The golden cap makes the packaging look luxurious. The plastic jar is housed in cardboard packaging with flip open lid.

The fragrance of all Forest Essential products is heavenly. It smells EXACTLY like jasmine flowers. It feels like you are standing next to a blooming jasmine plant. The night cream is very light lemony-yellow in color with gel-cream texture. It  doesnot feel heavy on the skin at all. It melts on the skin and sinks in easily.

The texture feels light and perfect for oily skinned people especially in summers. It however may not feel moisturizing enough for dry skinned beauties. The cream absorbs instantly making the skin well hydrated and supple. I wake up to soft, plump and smooth skin. My skin texture has improved since I have started using this cream. The quantity is sufficient and only a small amount is required.

The only con I could find with Forest Essentials Jasmine & Patchouli night cream is the price. Like all FE products, it is fairly expensive.

Kiko Milano Power Pro Nail Lacquer : 10 Hibiscus Red ~ Review, Swatch

Kiko is definitely a brand to watch out for, a must try brand for any nailpolish lover. The shade range is insane and quality top notch! My love for Kiko Milano is already expressed in many posts (HERE), and I have many more nailpolish from Kiko still to review.

In this post I am reviewing another vibrant shade from their Power Pro collection- Kiko Milano Power Pro Nail Lacquer in shade 10 ‘Hibiscus Red’.

Some other shades from Kiko’s Power Pro range I have reviewed previously are:

24 (Magenta)

90 (Multicolor Mauve)

94 (Mermaid Pink).

Price: Rs 550 for 11 ml

Shelf life: 3 years

Kiko Power Pro Special Nail Lacquer 10 Hibiscus Red Review

  • Kiko Milano Power Pro nail lacquer comes in cuboidal glass packaging with double cap and rounded edges. The outer rounded square cap is removable and reveals an easy grip striated brush cap. Kiko Milano logo is engraved on top of both the caps.
  • Shade number is written at the back on the peel off sticker booklet. Kiko doesnot write shade names, but only numbers on their products.
  • The brush is amazing. It is larger than normal ones, densely packed with rounded edge and follows the shape of nails without staining the skin. The brush helps a lot in fast and mess-free application.
  • Consistency of Power Pro nail lacquer is slightly thick and very creamy.  The thick consistency makes the nails look plump, almost like gel polish.
  • Pigmentation is insane and 1 thick coat gives full opacity. I like to apply 2 thin coats.
  • Kiko power Pro nail lacquer range is self-levelling so you do not end up with brush strokes.
  • Kiko Milano Power Pro nail lacquer dries really fast. You barely have to wait between application of multiple coats.
  • The shade 10 Hibiscus Red  is not a true red but a bright coral red color which looks vibrant and lively on the nails. The finish is highly glossy.
  • The shade looks a tad deeper on nails than what it looks in bottle.
  • This is bit expensive but the quantity is big.
  • Being a bright color, this will suit fair to medium skin tones.
  • The shade 10 Hibiscus Red is a summery color which will brighten up the whole look.

Colorbar 1001 Shades of Love Nail Lacquer ~ 412 Italian Spice : Review & Swatch

Colorbar has recently launched its ‘1001 Shades of Love’ collection and I bought a few shades from Colorbar’s official website. See the shades I picked in Haul post HERE.  I am reviewing a gorgeous brownish orange shade – Italian Spice in this post.

Price: Rs 199 for 10 ml

Expiry: 3 years

Colorbar  Nail Lacquer Italian Spice Review

  • Colorbar has relaunched its entire nail polish collection as ‘1001 Shades of Love’. These 1001 Shades are categorized under different range : Luxe range, Matte range, Arteffects range etc. Italian Spice is from the normal range of Colorbar nail lacquer.
  • Colorbar has not revamped the packaging, it is the same as previous bottle, only with a couple of tweaks. The colorbar logo now has a heart instead of ‘B’, and the cap of the nail polish is brown chrome color with new hearts logo of Colorbar on top. Other than this, the packaging and the brush is same as their last packaging (Read more about packaging and brush HERE)
  • Pigmentation is amazing and gives full opacity in 1 coat. I still apply two coats for better wear time.
  • Consistency is creamy and application is uniform and non streaky. It dries quick.
  • Italian Spice is a beautiful burnt orange/ rust color with glossy finish. This shades reminds me of Halloween and will make a pretty Fall color.
  • Colorbar’s website depicts this color as proper brown, but in reality this is more orange than brown. If you buy through the Colorbar official website, don’t trust the colors shown there.
  • Pricewise this is a good buy for the quantity.
  • Colorbar claims it is formulated with a 7-free formula: without formaldehydes, formaldehyde resin, DBP, toluene, camphor, paraben, and xylene

Pssst, if you are looking for similar shade in a lip product, check out THIS liquid lipstick by Chambor.
